Department Overview

The Safety and Security Team is dedicated to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors.

The importance of school safety has been a long-standing priority for MVUSD and has allowed us to refine our practices and implement new safety measures on a continual basis. 

  • Emergency Management

  • School Site Drills

  • Drug Detection Searches

  • Internet Safety

  • ID Badge Appointment 

  •  Raptor check-in system requiring visitors to show proof of ID and Megan's law verification

  • Amber Alert

  • Fencing at schools throughout the District to keep schools closed from outsiders

  • Anonymous Community Reporting

  • Security cameras at all school sites

  • Law enforcement officer assigned at all high schools and middle schools. 

  • Partnerships with Riverside County Sheriffs Dept. which includes patrolling at all campuses.

  • First Responder training with school staff that includes: First Aid, AED, CPR, Crisis Intervention, and Stop the Bleed.
