The Language Assessment Center is Responsible for:

  • Administering the California English Language Development Test to all incoming English Language Learner students (Initial Identification)
  • Administering the California English Language Development Test to all English Language Learner students annually
  • Administering the Primary Language Assessment (IPT- Oral/LAS Reading /Writing- Spanish -as required)
  • Hand scoring students’ language assessments
  • Initiating English Learner Multilingual Folder
  • Conferencing with Parents’ regarding program options, student’s language assessment results, and program recommendation
  • Communicating assessment results to all sites
  • Facilitating English Learner Transfers
