Fee Categories and Schedule
Categories
FEE CATEGORIES
Category 1 (FREE USE)
No charge for facilities use; however, Personnel Services will be charged if it is needed for the event.

Programs/activities of the school district related to the educational program, including, but not limited to, school plays and programs, athletic events, authorized meetings of district personnel, and approved student body activities.

School-related organizations such as PTA/PTSA, Booster Clubs, Band, Football, etc. MVUSD employee organizations, county or state school organizations, and other school districts. Youth-oriented local, state or national organizations.

Youth-oriented local, state, or national organizations such as YMCA, YWCA and Boy and Girl Scouts.

Civic and service groups organized for recreational or educational benefit of the adult community such as the Rotary Club, Elks Club, etc.

Governmental agencies for non-profit community activities such as congressional hearings, use of school sites for polling places during elections, City Council meetings.

Community emergency/disaster shelters such as the Red Cross
Category II (Direct Cost)
This reduced rate shall apply to any organization not fitting into Category I, that does not charge admission or solicit fees or contributions during meetings.

University or colleges conducting classes

Child-care providers through a joint-use agreement such as YMCA, City of Moreno Valley Parks & Recreation department.

Profit-making organization without admission charges such as commercial dance studios, or insurance sales presentations.

Any groups described in Category I that charge admission fees and do not use the collections for the welfare of the District students or for other charitable purposes.
Category III (Fair Rental Value)
This rate applies to all organizations which are not qualified for classification in Group I. All monies received may be used for purposes other than the welfare of the student in the District. Staff Service rates apply on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Examples of organizations in Category III include:

Churches or religious organizations

Profit making organizations with admission charges including sales meetings.

Any groups described in Category II that charge admission fees or solicit contributions and do not use the collections for the welfare of the District”s students or for other charitable purposes.
