Facilities Master Plan

MVUSD Facilities Master Plan: Adopted by the Board   

We are very pleased to announce that the School District's Board unanimously adopted the Facilities Master Plan (Resolution No. 2013-14-18) during the November 12, 2013 Board Meeting.  The presentation is attached at the bottom of this page.

We are excited about the prospect of moving forward with these plans, once funding becomes available and with the support of the community!

Moreno Valley Unified School District - Facilities Master Plan

In accordance with Board bylaws, Facilities Policy Manual and Education Code, the MVUSD has engaged in a process to prepare a Facilities Master Plan, which will assist in the development of the vision for facilities that provide for and support the District's educational goals. 

The Moreno Valley Unified School District is committed to serving over 35,000 students in a variety of K-12 educational and support programs and is dedicated to ensuring educational excellence to the school community. Among the many responsibilities of the Board of Education and the District Administration is providing and maintaining adequate facilities for its students and staff.

The  development of a Facilities Master Plan will  allow the MVUSD to identify current  facility conditions, anticipate future  needs and put in place a plan for constructing and repairing  facilities along with identifying the means  to  fund those projects.  

The Facilities Master Plan will include a comprehensive evaluation of existing facilities, district demographic data, facilities financing and funding analysis, recommendations and an implementation plan.
