SCHOOL DEVELOPER IMPACT FEES:
NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION: 
  • New Residential:  $5.17 per square foot Effective 8/24/2024 (Level I Fees)
OTHER RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION, ADDITIONS, ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS:
  •  499 square feet and under: No fees
  • 500 square feet and over: $5.17 per square foot  Effective 8/24/2024 (Level 1 Fees)
COMMERCIAL / INDUSTRIAL: $0.84 per square foot Effective 8/24/2024 (Level 1 Fees)

RESIDENTIAL (SELF-STORAGE): $0.51 per square foot Effective 8/24/2024 (Level 1 Fees)
 
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICTS (CFDs): (Please refer to the Mitigation Fee Map to assist in determining where your project falls.)
Community Facilities Districts (CFDs) (i.e. Mello Roos) are created in school districts throughout California to provide an optimal funding mechanism to new home construction, wherein developers pay school fees obligations over time. Within Moreno Valley Unified School District boundaries, we have several mitigated CFDs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING WITH YOU:
 
New Residential Developments:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtained from the City or County of Riverside, or March JPA, and the Certificate of Compliance form
  3. Residential Address Sequence Sheet
  4. Residential Site Map (complete with Lot Numbers)
  5. Payment in the form of a check, money order, or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District. 
  6. If paying with Cash, exact amount must be provided as no cash is kept on site.
Residential Room Additions/Conversions and Accessory Dwelling Units:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtain from the City or County of Riverside, or March JPA, and the Certificate of Compliance form
  3. Payment in the form of a money order or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District.  
  4. If paying with Cash, exact amount must be provided as no cash is kept on site.
Industrial/Commercial/Non-Residential Projects:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtain from the City or County of Riverside, or March JPA, and the Certificate of Compliance form
  3. Payment in the form of a check, money order, or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District. 
  4. If paying with Cash, exact amount must be provided as no cash is kept on site.
Please reach out to Patricia Diener (pdiener@mvusd.net) with all items in advance (with the exception of payment) before coming in to pay fees so the appropriate forms and information can be verified. You will be contacted by Patricia Diener when documents are complete and ready to process for payment. An appointment is required.
