Bullying Definition 

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.

Types of Bullying

Verbal: Saying or writing mean things. This is the most common form of bullying, often starting in elementary school and peaking in middle school.
Examples Include:
-Name Calling

Social: Making someone feel excluded or humiliated.  This behavior is often carried out by a group and can be especially hard to recognize.
Examples Include:
-Telling someone whom they can and cannot be friends with 
-Spreading rumors

Physical: Hitting, kicking or threatening to hurt someone,. This is the easiest form of bullying to identity.
Examples Include:

Cyber: Writing mean or inappropriate things online.
Examples include:
-Ridiculing someone publicly
-Sending unwelcome emails or text messages
