What is ACA? 
ACA is a law enacted to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable health insurance. 
 
Does MVUSD offer a plan?
All MVUSD part-time employees contracted to work less than six hours per day, noon duties and substitutes are entitled to purchase an ACA approved medical plan (Bronze Plan) offered through the Benefits Office. The cost for the plans is $427.00 a month for employee only coverage and $842.00 a month for employee plus children, no spouse coverage is available at this time. The coverage must be paid for at the time of enrollment and the first of the month thereafter. More information regarding this plan please see the attachment below. 
 
How Do I Enroll? 
  • To enroll in the plan please complete the enrollment form attached and submit to the Risk Management Department within fourteen days of your hire date. Payment is due at the time of enrollment.
  • Open Enrollment is approximately July 23 to August 23 each year for dependent changes and to enroll. You are also eligible to make changes within 30 days of a life qualified event.
