SCHOOL DEVELOPER IMPACT FEES:
 
 
NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION:   (Level II)
Most new residential construction within the boundaries of the Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD).
 
  • New Residential Construction:  $4.64/Sq. Ft. Effective 5/5/2019
  • New Stand-Alone Unit on Property:  $4.64/Sq. Ft.  Effective 5/5/2019
  •  (example:  a Granny Flat, or Pool Room, etc.)
 
ROOM ADDITIONS "ATTACHED" TO THE MAIN HOUSE AND/OR CONVERSIONS:  (Level I)
Room additions that are "attached" to the existing house, and/or room conversion projects that are within the boundaries of
MVUSD.
  • Residential Room Additions/Conversions: $3.79/sq. ft. (500+ sq. ft.) Effective 7/21/18
  • 499 sq. ft. and below (no charge)
 
INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL/NON-RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION: (Level I)
  • Industrial/Commercial/Non-Residential: $.61/sq. ft   Effective 7/21/18

COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICTS (CFDs):
 
Community Facilities Districts (CFDs) are created in school districts throughout California to provide an optimal funding mechanism to new home construction, wherein developers pay school fees obligations over time. 
 
Within Moreno Valley Unified School District boundaries, we have several mitigated CFDs.  Again, please refer to the mitigation map that is attached.

  • New Residential Construction: $4.01/sq. ft. (effective: 7/1/2019 - June 30, 2020)
  • Industrial/Commercial/Non-Residential: $.65/sq. ft. (effective: 7/1/2019 - June 30, 2020)
 
CFD 88-1: 
 
  • NO FEES COLLECTED at this time.  Dependent upon the number of residential units that are being built.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING WITH YOU:
 
New Residential Developments:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtained from the City or County of Riverside
  3. Residential Address Sequence Sheet
  4. Residential Site Map (complete with Lot Numbers)
  5. Payment in the form of a check, money order, or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District.    (NO CASH TRANSACTIONS).
It is highly recommended that you e-mail or fax Cheryl Acevedo all items in advance (with the exception of payment) several days before coming in to pay fees.  You will be notified by Cheryl Acevedo that the docs have been received and processed and ready for you to come into pay.  This will reduce you waiting time in our office.
 
Room Additions/Conversions and Stand Alone Residential Units:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtain from the City or County of Riverside
  3. Payment in the form of a check, money order, or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District     (NO CASH TRANSACTIONS).
Industrial/Commercial/Non-Residential Projects:
  1. Certificate of Compliance form obtained from the Moreno Valley's City Permit Department
  2. -OR- if the project is within Riverside County but NOT within the City of Moreno Valley, but within our school district, a Square Footage Verification form obtain from the City or County of Riverside
  3. Payment in the form of a check, money order, or cashiers check made payable to Moreno Valley Unified School District.    (NO CASH TRANSACTIONS).
