In an effort to clearly communicate with parents about safety issues, we want to let you know that we are aware of a vague threat against schools nationwide and are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our schools.
The threat of violence in schools was sent to multiple school districts across the country, including many in Southern California. Local police and the FBI have determined the threat is not credible and likely a hoax. Moreno Valley Unified did not directly receive the threat, however we are still taking every precaution to keep our campuses safe.
Any threat to our schools or students are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly through our close relationship with the Moreno Valley Police Department.
As always, anyone who may see suspicious activity at our schools should report it immediately to the school office or police.
The safety of our students is our top priority, we continue to provide a safe place for children to learn.
